Restylane® Kysse is a transparent injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) gel. HA is a sugar that occurs naturally in the human body. Restylane® Kysse is crosslinked with BDDE, a component that aids in forming a network of HA, to produce a longer-lasting gel filler. Moreover, it contains 0.3% lidocaine to minimize injection pain.
The injectable gel used for this lip filler is also made of hyaluronic acid (HA). The primary function of the element HA is to attract water toward cells, maintaining their hydration. Juvéderm Ultra XC increases the volume of the lips after injection because the HA molecules attract water to them like magnets. Your lips’ cells will seem fuller and plumper, giving them a lovely lip augmentation.

Restylane® Kysse is a lip filler made to treat higher vertical lip wrinkles while providing a soft, natural augmentation. This product can only be used on the lips. On the other hand, Juvéderm® Ultra XC is intended for a fuller lip augmentation. It also treats treats small wrinkles around the mouth.
When reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds, also called “smile lines,” they are both incredibly effective.
When comparing Juvéderm® Ultra XC and Restylane® Kysse, it’s important to remember that both are executed in an office and typically take 15-60 minutes with no downtime. Restylane® Kysse is among the most long-lasting lip filler options, with some patients reporting results lasting up to a year.
Both of these products’ treatments are effective for up to a year, so either would be a good choice for long-term results.
Restylane® Kysse is the better option; according to the manufacturer’s online product information, this product contains crosslinked HA gel, which provides increased flexibility and a full range of motion in the lips.
Juvéderm® Ultra XC is the better option because Restylane® Kysse is only FDA-approved for injection into the lip area, so you cannot use any remaining product in other facial areas.
Restylane® Kysse is the best choice for fewer injections and improved flexibility, texture, and lip color. Depending on the individual, one or two syringes may be necessary to achieve natural-looking lips.
Revanesse Versa is the closest alternative to Restylane® Kysse & Juvéderm® Ultra XC, as it’s also a hyaluronic acid dermal filler. It is made with high-tech methods that ensure the particles are round and the same size. This makes it easier for the formula to be absorbed by the body, thereby reducing swelling and extending its durability.
Juvéderm® Ultra XC and Restylane® Kysse work incredibly well to smooth skin, add volume, and make the skin look youthful.
